Hannah Haverkamp joyfully and doggedly refuses to do just one thing at a time.

Educated at Beloit College, Hannah graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in History, and with a minor focus in Studio Art. After several years working in both theater and illustration, she returned to school in 2019, and received her Master of Fine Arts in costume design from the University of Illinois in 2023.

Hannah’s career has taken her from the green hills of Wales, to the Driftless area of Wisconsin, and the arid mountains of Colorado and Santa Fe. She currently teaches costume courses and manages the costume shop at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Her artwork continues to revisit themes of identity construction through clothing and music, and explores the links between the contemporary and historical creation of the self through community.
